These are the ground rules for using Daily Ripple, which is run by Daily Ripple Pty Ltd (ACN 700 068 300). We've kept them in plain language because terms you can actually read are terms you can actually agree to. By creating an account, you're agreeing to everything on this page.

Your account

You need to give us accurate details when you sign up, keep your password to yourself, and be old enough to agree to these terms where you live. You're responsible for what happens under your account, so tell us straight away if you think someone else has gotten into it.

It's early days

Daily Ripple is a young product, and we're building it with our first members. That means features will change, move, and occasionally disappear as we learn what works. We'll tell you about the changes that matter. What won't change is your ownership of your data, as set out in our privacy policy.

Ripples, points, and badges

Points, streaks, and badges are how the app reflects your practice back to you. They have no monetary value, can't be bought, sold, or exchanged, and we may adjust how they're calculated to keep things fair for everyone. What you've done in the world stays done; the numbers are just the mirror.

Real-world actions

Ripples often involve doing something away from your screen. You choose which actions to take and how to take them, so use your own judgment: follow local laws, respect other people, and don't put yourself or anyone else at risk.

We don't supervise the actions we suggest, and taking part is always your choice. To the extent the law allows, we're not responsible for anything that happens to you or anyone else as a result of an action you choose to take, including any injury, loss, or damage.

If an action ever feels unsafe or wrong, skip it. There will always be another.

Links to other sites and services

Daily Ripple may contain links to other websites or services that we don't run or control. If you click through to one of these, you're leaving Daily Ripple. Those sites may not follow the same privacy, security, or accessibility standards as ours, and we're not responsible for their content, availability, or for anything you experience there.

We provide these links for your convenience only. Linking to a site, or mentioning an organisation, cause, or brand within the app, doesn't mean we're affiliated with them, or that they endorse us. Any names, logos, or trade marks that appear belong to their owners, and we don't claim any rights over them.

If you choose to visit a linked site or rely on anything you find there, that's your call and your risk, and we'd recommend making your own assessment first. We don't guarantee, and aren't legally liable for, the accuracy, reliability, currency, or completeness of anything on a third-party site or service.

Playing fair

Daily Ripple is built on trust between people who want to do good. Don't abuse that: no harassment, no impersonation, no spam, no false claims about actions you haven't done, and nothing unlawful. We may suspend or close accounts that break our rules or these terms, that we reasonably believe involve fraud, or that put anyone's safety or Daily Ripple's legal position at risk. Where we can, we'll tell you why, but in urgent situations we may need to act first and explain afterwards.

Your content and ours

Anything you create on Daily Ripple stays yours. You give us permission to show it within the app so the product can work, and nothing more. Only share what you have the right to share.

The app itself, including our software, design, and branding, belongs to us. These terms give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use Daily Ripple, and not any ownership over it. Nothing here transfers our intellectual property (including copyright, design, and branding) to you, and this licence ends if your account is closed or these terms end.

Leaving

You can stop using Daily Ripple whenever you like, and delete your account and data from your settings at any time. We'd rather you told us why, but you don't owe us that.

Collection notice

Daily Ripple is run by Daily Ripple Pty Ltd (ACN 700 068 300). We collect the following personal information. This notice and our privacy policy are linked from the sign-up form and from the footer of every page, so you can read them before you decide:

• Your name and email address, which you give us when you join the waitlist or create an account.
• The causes you choose and the ripples you complete, collected as you use the app.
• Your home area — typed by you, shared by your device, or estimated from your IP address or time zone if you give us neither.
• How you use the app, recorded as you go.
• Whatever you choose to tell us when you write to us or answer a question we ask, like how you heard about Daily Ripple.

We use that information to run Daily Ripple and to keep in touch about it: your invitation, your account, your own progress and impact, updates about the product, and replies when you contact us. We'll only send you marketing if you've opted in, and you can unsubscribe any time using the link in our emails or by replying "unsubscribe".

We host Daily Ripple with Render, so your details are stored outside Australia, in Singapore, and the providers that deliver our emails and resolve place names are also overseas. You don't have to give us your details, but without them we can't add you to the waitlist, create your account, or stay in touch. The legal essentials

We work hard to keep Daily Ripple fast, safe, and available, but we provide it "as is" and can't promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the extent the law allows, we exclude all warranties and terms that would otherwise be implied by law, and we're not liable for any loss suffered because of your use, or your inability to use, the app, including loss of profits, loss of data, or any indirect or consequential loss — even if we knew that loss was possible.

Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law, or any other rights that can't be totally excluded.

These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia, and both of us submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of that State.

If a court decides that part of these terms isn't valid or can't be enforced, that part is cut out and the rest of these terms keep applying as normal.

These terms, together with our privacy policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about using Daily Ripple. Anything said or written elsewhere doesn't form part of our agreement with you unless we've put it in these terms.

If these terms change

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app before the change takes effect, in plain language.
