Your everyday account doesn’t sit still. Banks lend it out. Australia’s biggest ones have put billions into coal, oil and gas, and hold mortgages on properties where bushland is being cleared.

See what your money supports

Market Forces tracks which Australian banks finance coal, oil and gas, and what each says about it. Find yours in the table: if it’s funding, a button there sends a pre-filled message. If it has no record since 2016, the table says so.

How to do this

  1. Open the Market Forces bank comparison table.
  2. Find your bank in the list.
  3. If it funds coal, oil and gas, hit “Tell them to stop” and send the pre-filled message.
  4. Done.
