Add one to the usual group
Off to lunch or coffee with the regulars? Invite someone new along.
2-5 minutes
Why This Matters
An invitation is a small thing to give and a hard thing to ask for. Being that welcoming person makes all the difference.
Beyond the usual few
Someone new to town who hasn’t found their people yet. Someone you like but rarely see. The new starter, or the one who always eats at their desk.
How to do this
- Who do you think would be a good addition to the group? Go with your first thought.
- Next time the regulars head out, ask them along.
- Keep it casual. “We’re grabbing lunch, would you like to join?”
- If they say no, no worries. The ask still counts. Done.
